Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Luminary Tutoring! We're dedicated to helping students of all ages excel in academic journey.

The following terms and conditions outline our service agreement. Please read them carefully.

1. Applicability of Terms

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Luminary Tutoring. No other terms will apply unless they are explicitly stated in a handbook or policy issued by us, or in a written agreement signed by both you and us.

2. No Refund Policy

Please note that we operate a strict no-refund policy after the initial 4-week cooling-off period.

3. Rescheduling Sessions

If a student needs to miss a session, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance, or as soon as reasonably possible, to be eligible for rebooking. The ability to rearrange lessons is at the discretion of the tutor and depends on their timetable availability and the reason for the absence.

4. Examination Performance

While we commit to doing our best to prepare students for their examinations, we cannot guarantee specific results or performance outcomes. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, and we believe student success is mutually beneficial.

5. Cancellation Policy

This agreement will continue until cancelled. A 4-week written notice (via email) is required for cancellation of services after the cooling-off period. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.

6. Payment and Late Fees

All invoice payments must be up to date before cancellation can be finalised. Any outstanding invoices will be subject to our standard late payment fee of £25.00 per invoice.

7. Student Information

You agree to provide us with all information we reasonably require about the student to support their academic progress effectively.

8. Your Responsibilities

We will not be liable for any prevention or delay in our services if it is caused by something you do (or fail to do).

9. Parental Observation

Parents are welcome to observe lessons, but we kindly request that you do not interfere with the educational process without reasonable cause. Allowing students to make mistakes is crucial for their learning and ultimately leads to fewer errors in exams.

10. Online Safety

It is your responsibility to ensure your child's safety online. We will take all reasonable precautions to maintain online security using industry-standard measures, including using a secure online classroom environment. We will also alert you immediately if we identify any potential digital security threats to the student.

If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
